Lupini Beans

Lupini beans are an amazing snack. Very nutritious and easy to season. Lupini beans are commonly sold in a brine in jars (like olives and pickles). They can be eaten by making a small tear in the skin with one's teeth and "popping" the seed directly into one's mouth, but can also be eaten with the skin on.  In countries like Portugal, they are very popular in bars as a snack while drinking beer. Some parts of Italy serve Lupini Beans as an appetizer.

Preparation:

Lupini Beans need to be rinsed. I use a strainer and run them under cold water for about 3-5 mins.

Garlic Cloves 1-2 Minced
Sea Salt
Cracked Pepper
2 tsps of Olive Oil
Oregano 1 tsp
Parsley Chopped - Optional

Add all the ingredients in a bowl (Tupperware works Great)
Shake the bowl repeatedly to create a flavorful brine.
Allow the beans to set in the refrigerator for about an hr. The longer they set, the better they taste.

You will love them as a regular snack.
